Dr. Sameh Bishara, owner of a drug production company in Egypt, praised President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s decision to cancel the state of emergency, explaining that the decision is a message to both inside and outside that Egypt is stable in security, economically and politically, as well as its positive impact on the recovery of the drug market in Egypt during the next stage.
Bishara explained that the owners of pharmaceutical companies had crises with suppliers from whom they import raw materials that are used in the pharmaceutical industry, in light of the law imposing a state of emergency and the fear it imposed in the internal market, so they were asking for immediate payment and sending the price of the shipment before its arrival. To guarantee their financial right, but now this matter and several other things will change that will revive the drug market and increase drug production from the shortcomings in the Egyptian drug market.
Dr. Sameh Bishara added that the drug industry in Egypt is comparable to some European countries, and that Egypt’s stability provides pharmaceutical companies with greater opportunities to export to European, Asian, Arab and African countries, before referring to the need to take advantage of the initiatives and steps taken by President Sisi to monitor existing diseases and benefit from them in The Egyptian Medicines Authority established by the President.
